Um exemplo de superação

Este vídeo mostra a fantástica história de William Kamkwamba, um jovem que aos 14 anos decidiu “sair do lugar” e mudou para melhor a vida de muitas pessoas, seja pelo impacto direto de suas ações ou pelo exemplo de empreendedorismo que já inspirou muitas pessoas em todos os continentes.
William nasceu em Malawi, país pobre, passou fome junto com sua família e mesmo assim conseguiu construir sozinho 2 moinhos de vento que geram energia pra sua casa e irrigam plantações de sua vila.
Essa história comoveu jornalistas do mundo inteiro e William teve a oportunidade de fazer parte de um grupo de jovens lideranças na África do Sul.
Com a repercussão dessa história, ele foi convidado falar 2 vezes no TED, evento conhecido por reunir as mentes mais geniais e inovadoras do planeta.

O inglês de William tem bastante sotaque, mas sua superação em aprender o idioma é surpreendente, demonstrando que quando realmente se quer realmente algo, tudo é possível.

William é um exemplo de aprendizagem e vida!

Trabalho sobre Adjetivos - Escola Otília Rieth

Os alunos da Escola Municipal Otília Rieth trabalharam no início do mês de abril com adjetivos e histórias em quadrinhos em inglês. Após as atividades, foi proposto aos alunos que criassem um personagem, desse um nome a ele e escrevessem dez frases o descrevendo utilizando a estrutura:

Lições do Rio Grande - Língua Inglesa - 5ª série

O início do trabalho com o projeto Lições do Rio Grande foi bastante produtivo com os alunos da 5ª série da Escola Emílio Boeckel. Após aulas iniciais sobre as saudações, já era possível introduzir o conteúdo do livro de uma forma adaptada, visto que o nível de conhecimento do idioma ainda é bastante limitado pelos alunos.

Eles tiveram contato com o dicionário de inglês pela primeira vez e conseguiram realizar as

atividades com os adjetivos sem maiores problemas.

Histórias em Quadrinhos e Adjetivos em Inglês

A partir do projeto Lições do Rio Grande que atrabalha o uso de adjetivos em inglês e histórias e quadrinhos, elaborei com meus alunos um cartaz onde eles pudessem colocar em prática o que aprenderam.
Cada aluno trouxe de casa uma história em quadrinhos de seu gosto e escolheu um adjetivo em inglês que descrevesse uma situação da historinha (a lista continha adjetivos positivos e negativos, tipo bratty, calm, happy, sad, patient, enthusiastic, etc).
Um a um os foram colando sua história e escrevendo o termo escolhido em inglês. O resultado são esses dois cartazes das turmas 62 e 63.
